Huwazin and Taqeef tribes were rivals of Quraish and had remained quiet all through the period of Islam-Quraish wars. However, after the peaceful fall of Makkah, threatened their common interests and they were looking for an opportunity to undo Prophet (S.A.W)’s efforts. So they decided to fight by preparing an army of 20,000 under Malik bin Auf to suppress the growing power of Muslims. When informed of the developments, the Prophet (S.A.W) called his men for jihad.

Expedition of Khyber

One of the significant events after the pact of Hudaibya is the conquest of Khyber. The Jews were settled in Khyber after they were expelled from Madinah. It was the place 70 miles to the north of Madinah. Khyber means fortified, was a cluster of some 8 fortresses (Al-Naim, Ash-Sab, Az-Zubair, Al-Ubai, An-Nizar, Al-Qamus, Al-Watih and Al-Sulalim) in three portions (An-Natah, As-Shaq and Al-Katibah) around which lay farms and palm orchards.

Events & Terms of Treaty of Hudaibya

In 6 A.H, 628 AD the Prophet (S.A.W) himself saw a dream of his visit to the Ka’bah. Next morning, he ordered his companions to prepare for the journey. The Arabs living around Madinah were also invited to join them on the journey.
The Prophet (S.A.W) set out from Madinah along with 1400 Muhajireen and Ansar, all wearing Ihram in the month of Dhul Qadah in the year 628 A.D.
