Nowadays, cars can be seen everywhere in huge numbers on the roads moving in all directions. Why do people prefer cars to travel daily? Are cars a better means of transport? Do you agree with it? I believe that cars are the most desirable means of transportation. I think the discussion about the advantages and drawbacks of cars will come up with a more conclusive decision for all to agree.
In my opinion, people desire to buy cars because it is a cheap resource and portable means of transport; they can be parked around houses and can be taken almost everywhere. Specifically, while travelling by other means of transport you need to plan, such as tickets reservation before travel and going to the stations according to schedule to have a smooth journey.
Although, these plannings aren’t needed when using a car. However, the benefit of cars is that you can plan your trip or change them anytime, intervals during travelling can be managed according to your desire. The car speed can also vary according to your preference. It’s all in your control without any interference.
On the flip side, having a car can be considered a headache due to the constant refuelling, washing, insurance and maintenance of its engine and body. Though, almost a heavy traffic jam in the rush hours on roads can cause mental stress and frustration for car users, especially when they are in a hurry. Sometimes it may result in accidents. Moreover, refurbishing a car after an accident causes an increase in your expenses.
Correspondingly, researchers have proven that the highest percentage of accidents are caused by cars. They emit toxic gasses when burning fuel/petrol that gravely affects the environment and contributes to global warming.
Above all, it is common for cars to be used in robberies. Thieves escape effortlessly from the crime scene through cars after the robberies. It demonstrates that cars are not just a blessing for humans, but also troublesome in a few situations.
To conclude, I would like to state that cars have both advantages and disadvantages. Thus, we can obtain the most out of it by abstaining from its drawbacks as much as possible.
